Bali Bombing again? When is this going to stop?
Didn't the Indonesian government once said that there is no terrorism in Indonesia and the public echoed that it was an American ploy to discredit and destabilized the country? Then why does the Indonesian government had to sign two emergency decrees enacting anti-terrorism legislation. Is the whole world as blind as mice to noticed that Indonesia is a hotspot for terrorism - in view of its lax rules and lack of political will to stamp out the menace. Indonesia government and Indonesian people are not doing enough! Is it because the Indonesian government has been very reluctant to crack down on Islamic fundamentalists, fearing a backlash of disturbances across the country?
Most of the Muslims in Indonesia belong to the moderate group of Islam followers but there is a strong and small group of Islamic militants who are getting bolder and bolder being encouraged by the ease at which they can escape with their notoriety. The militants are not international terrorists from the Middle East and who knows where but they are bred in its own motherland just like piranhas being bred in lake gardens.
South East Asian countries will be affected and lumped in together with the unrest in Indonesia unless it is seen by the whole international community that the whole neighboring countries will form a sort of alliance or coalition against terrorism.
Moderate Muslims need to be educated that terrorists are not true Muslims and do not follow their teachings in the true sense of the word. They should rise up in unison against these enemies and drive them out and give them no place in their lives. Let's not hide behind the cloak of brotherhood because there is no agreement on the issue of terrorism and bombings. Don't you know that many Muslims are also killed in the cowardly terrorist acts and bombings? Come on, you are the majority. Why let a few minority destroy your livelihood?
Unless there is a strong determination to exterminate such pests, like in farming, all kinds of building and planting to build up the society will not be possible. You do not need the once draconian anti-subversion laws in the Suharto-era to govern your lives.
are for world peace .
