Reap what we sow(Remember this when you vote next)
Sunday, 05 March 2006 (belated news)

Good Morning Malaysians! Petrol is 30 cents higher, your house is flooded (due to heavy rains and high tide, not because of environmental neglect), cars under water, furniture destroyed, electricity rates increase with changes to digital meters, water smells of shit, water rates higher after made in China meters replaces old ones, bird flu knocking on our doors, toll increase (even though UEM declares 1.3 billion profits for last year), Metromac scandal, federal court rules that town councils are not responsible for falling buildings and no compensation for life lost........

(why should we get permission and plans passed by town council if they are not held responsible?), willing to compensate RM 10 for culling chicken and duck in the effected areas of bird flu but life's lost due to town council negligence cannot be compensated, factories relocating (not only foreigners), unemployment increasing, school bus prices going up, corruption in town councils, assessment and quick rent going up and finally the prices of all commodities across the board will increase within the next few weeks. The people will have to buck up, be prudent and don't complain because our cost is still cheaper then neighboring countries. Our salaries have to stay stagnant so that we can encourage and attract foreign investment.

Well ladies and gentlemen; with this scenario if parlimentary elections are called next month, I will bet my bottom ringgit that the Barisan National will still win with a vast majority. So who do we blame?

When will we learn that we are the masters of our own destiny? We are all taken for granted - the powers that be assume that we are spineless and brainless. And that's what the BN thinks of all of you. Because year after year we have become hardened and uncaring Malaysians, too busy with our own agenda's, racial politics (championing one's race) to be worried about how policy changes affect our daily lives and these changes are implemented by people who you voted into power. So what do we do now and where do we go from here?

We have to have the moral courage, irrespective of race or religion to start a process, be brave, to stand up and say enough is enough and have the guts to make the necessary changes which will bring about more open dialog. Our voices have to be heard in parliament where it counts the most. The only way the government is going to listen is when we show them that the people have decided that changes are needed. And these changes should bring about justice, fair play and more transparency on how policies are formulated.

If we fail to do this then the only sure thing that is going to happen is that the rich and powerful will become richer and the poor miserably poorer. As hardship stares us squarely in the face, the rich and powerful meanwhile ponder how much more wealth they can accumulate. Finally we will only have ourselves to blame.

The time is right for change. You have to decide. We can only do it with your support for a better Malaysia.
