From Peace Prize to Action

Al Gore said global warming was a "planetary emergency". He says his Nobel Peace Prize is an "honour" and a chance to "elevate global consciousness" about the threat posed by climate change but his prize must spur action. The former US vice-president was awarded the prestigious prize jointly with the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). He said he accepted the Nobel award on behalf of scientists - like those in the IPCC - who had worked tirelessly for years to get the message about global warming out.

His call to action is a timely call. Many a policy remains a policy, but enforcement and active participation in implementation of it is sadly lacking.

It is also a call on my life, that whatever I have found a purpose to do, I need to put action into steps for implementation, if not it is just like a light breeze that comes and is easily forgotten. Talk is easy, work is tough but it is the work that accomplishes while talk will die down.

Consider any resolutions you have made over the last few months that have not been put to action. Make time and effort to roll it in place and to see the fruits of such wise moves.
