Visa Visa Visa

Anyone who had been traveling overseas will realized that an Immigration Visa is a must. To some countries, it is a breeze but to the uninformed it can be a real hassle. If you are traveling to any European or American cities, the checking has been made more stringent by the fears arousing from the 9-11 incidents. Authorities are more cautious and would not grant any Visas on the slightest suspicion of terrorism or other real danger.

The American Embassy in Kuala Lumpur has taken the precaution of out sourcing the application for Visas by locating the facility outside their official Embassy. Any future threat has thus been isolated. The Australian Embassy has promoted the application of Visas through legitimate and registered agents who were able to provide thorough services both for the clients and the authorities.

When Jared decided to study in Canberra Australia, we allowed the agents to process all applications including traveling tickets. This has reduced both the hassle and headaches for us as parents and also for the student.

The other day, Jared called up and said that he would like to spend the holidays working in odd jobs or part time employment for experience sake. Of course, as parents we would think that such a desire is good especially one that would instill discipline and character development into a youth. However, we advised him to ensure that he obtain a proper working Visa and not do it illegally, if not he may be found flouting the law and perhaps even deported!

So make sure you have the proper documentation before departure or even purchasing of your air ticket. In Beijing, China, I noticed that there was a counter for application of Visa upon arrival. Imagine the shock and dismay of a traveler if your Visa is rejected upon arrival at a foreign country. You will have to fly all the way back. Get an expert opinion on your Visas if needed.

Today, if you have a choice to influence politics, would you want to do away with Visas and other restrictions? After all, are we not altogether inhabitants of the same planet Earth?
