For some maths trivia on the No. 9, try these:

1. Take the digits 1 to 9. Arrange the 9 digits in any order, e.g. 697128345. Add the digits together until you get a single digit number:
6+9+7+1+2+8+3+4+5 = 63 = 6+3 = 9
The results will always be 9!

2. Take any number and multiply it by 9, e.g. 4382x9 = 39,438. Add the digits in the total until you get a single digit number: 3+9+4+3+8 = 27 = 2+7 = 9.
The results will always be 9!

3. Take any number larger than 9. E.g. 68. Add the digits together until you get a single digit number: 6+8 = 14 = 1+4 = 5. Subtract this number from the original total: 14-5 = 9.
The result will always be 9 or a multiple of 9!

English slang: Cloud 9; Dressed to the 9s; 9 lives; 9 to 5; The whole 9 yards; Love portion number 9; A stitch in time saves 9.
