Little pleasantries in Hanoi-Hanoi

painting

It is the little details that makes the heart glad. It is the fine arts that enrich life. It is the little smiles from the restaurant staff that make your meals worthwhile.

Without really advertising for  this restaurant, Hanoihanoi, 43 Trang Tien Road, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, I would say that the place is worth several visits. The ambience of the interior is very Vietnamese (which you would expect in Hanoi) and the food is superb. The food is reasonably cheap even cheaper than our local hawker fare too. Your dollar will definitely stretched a great deal in Hanoi. We had two dinner meals there and already the staff treated us like good friends.

We also found out that the second floor is actually an art gallery. The walls of the walkway are literally framed with beautiful paintings which make your surroundings brighter.

Even though Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and the stronghold of the governing Communist Party and it has a reputation for being conservative and officious, but you can be sure the spirit of good food and fine art is still very vibrant.
